This project was all about creating a raw, industrial feel that worked with the bold character of the barbershop. The aim was to achieve the look of architectural concrete while keeping the finish handcrafted and full of subtle detail.
Using the Archi+ Concrete range from Novacolor, I built up the surface with layers of texture before applying various colour washes to create depth, movement and the natural variation you'd expect to see in aged concrete.
The finished walls have an honest, architectural feel that gives the space its identity, adding texture and character without overpowering the interior.
